for whom Iranian cinema tolls

The first Iranian film festival was held in London and showcased 35 inspiring films by Iranian artists. PHOTOs: PUBLICITY

The Iranian film industry is not very active until 1945, and the majority of the films are foreign films. In 1941, about 250 movies screened in Iran, 60% of American films, 20% of German films, 5% of French films and films from 5% to URSS37. In 1950, the figures show strong growth in the film industry. There are 80 rooms in Iran, including 20 in the open. The total annual hearing is about 9 million people, with a population of nearly 17 million habitants38. In the same year 1950, 450 films are screened, 85% originating from the United States, with the remainder divided between Britain, Egypt, France, Italy, India, the USSR and Iran. Between 1950 and 1955 fifty-eight films are produced in Iran. In 1958, there are twenty-two companies producing films for average budget of five million rials per film.

The number of feature films produced annually in Iran goes twenty-five in 1959 to fifty-five in 1966 and four to twenty in 1971 and down to sixty-one in 1976. The number of producers triple between 1950 and 1970, from twenty-two to sixty-seven. The cost of film production increases during the period 1966-1976, while the Iranian economy is inflationary. The number of theaters in the country has also increased significantly after World War II: from 142 in 1959 to 453 in 1975 (including more than a hundred in Tehran). In 1974, 473 films are screened in Iran, 30% of American origin, 13% from Iran, 12% of Hong Kong, with the remainder spread less than 10% market share each from France, India, Britain, Japan, Turkey and URSS9.

Blu-ray Disc (BD) is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the DVD format. The plastic disc is 120 mm in diameter and 1.2 mm thick, the same size as DVDs and CDs. Conventional (pre-BD-XL) Blu-ray Discs contain 25 GB per layer, with dual layer discs (50 GB) being the industry standard for feature-length video discs. Triple layer discs (100 GB) and quadruple layers (128 GB) are available for BD-XL re-writer drives.[3] The name Blu-ray Disc refers to the blue laser used to read the disc, which allows information to be stored at a greater density than is possible with the longer-wavelength red laser used for DVDs. The major application of Blu-ray Discs is as a medium for video material such as feature films. Besides the hardware specifications, Blu-ray Disc is associated with a set of multimedia formats. Generally, these formats allow for the video and audio to be stored with greater definition than on DVD.
The format was developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association, a group representing makers of consumer electronics, computer hardware, and motion pictures. The first Blu-ray Disc prototypes were unveiled in October 2000, and the first prototype player was released in April 2003 in Japan. Afterwards, it continued to be developed until its official release in June 2006. As of June 2008, more than 2,500 Blu-ray Disc titles were available in Australia and the United Kingdom, with 3,500 in the United States and Canada.[4] In Japan, as of July 2010, more than 3,300 titles have been released.
During the high definition optical disormat war, Blu-ray Disc competed with the HD DVD format. Toshiba, the main company that supported HD DVD, conceded in February 2008,[6] releasing its own Blu-ray Disc player in late 2009.

Taza fighting hard to being

written by Allal El Alaoui

Taza is a small town situated in the north east of Morocco .Can Taza become a cosmopolitan city in the future? Sure; why not .when New York was only a little village in the eighteen century, its locals have worked hard to become what it is now , I mean more than 32 millions  .Can Taza become the capital of Morocco instead of Rabat. Sure, why not we know that Taza has played excellent roles in the history of Morocco because apparently the people of Taza are more resistant than ever. They have fought Spanish and French colons too. They are brave and courage knowing that even Mao Tsi Tung has taken the tactics of war from Rif Mountains to fight thr British .So, Taza is a developing  town , fighting to become one of omportant cities inthe east and it also fighting local  Lobies  known as ‘ Fassi Fihris ‘  who blockade its development  economicaly, sociologically and politically.

Can Taza become cinematic? Yes, sure it can because it is all about  a moderate man called Mohamed Bahi Alaoui wo wrote the first script in Morocco called " Imilchin and Yettou ' .So the Tazi people are really the pionners of everyting and  have thought to build the first cinema studio in a place called Tenssan around Taza but the project failed due to low budget. When I was in Taza , I have noticed that this city is surrounded by black Atlas mountains and green Rif mountains . The contrast of these mountains is unique and surely it has great impact on the people of Taza who seem very naïve in their looks but courage and noble in the fight against the outsiders. Two major tribes are fierce fighters among them is Al Ghayatin.

Taza is known of its caves, the only town in Africa which has too many caves especially the famous one called Freeouato; mysteriously abyssed in high mountains and you may walk in it about three kilometres only in the dark. Although this town is directed by neighboring cities just like Hussaima and Fes,Taza;having the first five star hotel in Morocco metamorphosed in a military institution, want eagerly its own autonomy because it feels able to make miracles knowing this small town lacks the minimum thing just like an agency of tourism which is already shamefull.

You only need skill and talent to wrire genre that deal with myth heroes"Indiana Jones" The star wars and more . Hollywood is intrested in myth because it has a large audience now i mean the world and surely War World Z will smash all world box offices and revenues will be blessing seasons this year for Hollywood .War World Zis about United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity itself.

Characters by Linda Seger

One-dimensional characters are plain, simple and unexplained.  Readers or viewers briefly “see” one-dimensional characters but these characters do not speak. The one-dimensional characters are usually cashiers, salespeople, drivers, servers, nurses, joggers, or the person walking down the street pushing a stroller.
Two-dimensional characters are similar to one-dimensional characters except two-dimensional characters use speech or gestures to react to what is going on around them  Still, two-dimensional characters are undeveloped and lack explanation, reason and depth.  Two-dimensional character reactions and interactions are often brief, but not always. A character may be present the majority of the time, but when s/he lacks history/backstory and complexity, the character is two-dimensional.
An effective, well-rounded, believable fictional character usually has three dimensions:
  • thoughts
  • emotions; and
  • actions.
In screenwriting, the three dimensions are frequently described as:
  • physiology;
  • sociology; and
  • psychology.
Three-dimensional characters have goals, ambitions, desires, motivating forces, fears and values.  In addition, they have habits, mannerisms, cultural tendencies and styles that are audible or visible to others.  In other words, a 3-D character has an inside and an outside.
Flat, misused or poorly developed characters are the best way to lose reader interest.  Here are some tips for creating three-dimensional characters:

A fully developed character has three dimensions:

 1) Thoughts, 2) Emotions, and 3) Actions.

A good character thinks, feels, and does things. A "character type" does only one of the three.

Think of a brainy professor character who thinks, but never shows emotion and never does anything. He's a character type. Think of a grieving widow - all emotion, no thoughts, and no actions. Think of a tough cop - all action, no thoughts, and no emotions. All are character types. All are incomplete characters. All are boring stereotypes

The Basics of Screenwriting

Sub-plots

Sub-plots contain all the same elements as the main plot--character, conflict and resolution. Although it used to be common to see sub-plots functioning only as comic relief, with little connection to the rest of the story, they now are expected to parallel and advance the main plot. Sub-plots involve secondary characters interacting with the protagonist or the antagonist. One of the sub-plots of Gladiator, for example, is the love story between Maximus and Commodus' sister, Lucilla. The romance has a beginning, middle and end just like the main story, but takes up very little screen time. Because Lucilla becomes involved in Maximus' attempts to overthrow her brother, the love story has a direct effect on the main plot. However, it does not overwhelm it.

flops and scams in the italian cinema

Cinema-goers screem to liberate cinema in Italy . obviously ,the italian cinema is in deep crisis in Italy. If masters are alive llike Fredirico Fellini , Pasolini and Antonioni  , they would be surprised to see mediocre Italian movies  around in theatres?
