Amal Ben Haddou, best actress in the Arab world

 By Allal El Alaoui

The Arab Theatre Festival in Tunis has received so many Arabic plays and among them  -Solo-  by Mohammed Al hor .This play is based on the controversial novel of Tahar Ben Jalloun , a Moroccan writer  - The sacred night - .

The story is about a girl called Zahra played by )Jamila EL haouni( whose  father treats her like a man and this  kind of mentality  lasts for nearly 20 years , apparently because he is an ignorant and illiterate man . The criticism of Arab beliefs in some countries is evident through the criminalization of female genital mutilation, which is tampered with as an entity, spirit and robe that withers when the details of femininity are obscured by force.

"Zahra" is the main character that begins to narrate her adventures. The novel begins in "Laylat al Qadr", the night that Zahra's father was dying and she was waiting for his near death.
Zahra does not feel the rape of one of her monsters on her flight from her home to freedom and the unknown. "This raging at a certain moment, because she awakens what she thinks  is over and fades and dies ... her body is  abandoned and suppressed all these years.

"Zahra" is not lucky during her flight from her home and from her father's ghost. Whenever she thinks that she is safe, she suddenly leaves because people do not have mercy on her once she has discovered her story. She insists on repeating that she is free and does not belong to a past, a wound or a joy. She is the daughter of the present moment and her existential journey is her primary game that will improve her exploitation.

Even when she is  put in jail, she finds  someone who has frustrated her joy by meeting with the second man in her life (consul), whom she loves in a different way because he is  blind and because she sees another light breaking into the darkness of her soul and forgetting the suffering of all the years.

The sister  played by  )Amal Ben Haddou(  of a "consul" gets jealous because of her intense love for her brother and her desire to own her alone, so she pours a flower and pours her in prison.
In the original version of Tahir Benjelloun, the writer suggests in some way that a forbidden relationship brings together a consul in his sister, which explains the cry of jealousy that invadeس her when he is  the consul of Zahra.

The play ends with the release of Zahra from prison after she receives a pardon and her re-launch and the same determination in the path of freedom she chosses
