Public opinion's full support of Hirane, Chahtane and Mhamid.

Three Moroccan journalists of Al Michaal,an independent newspaper in Morocco are going to go through judicial hard questions in Rabat on the first of October 2009.Driss Chahtane;Mustapha Hirane and Rashid Mhamid are journalists accused to have published false information on the health of Moroccan king, Mohammed 6.

Because Al Michaal is a respected newspaper to mainstream in Morocco, local and international public opinion are waiting impatiently the coming day of October when Rabat Tribunal is listening to these three journalists. Too many local freedom of speech fighters are supporting the journalists mentioned above meanwhile, people of Morocco are shocked to know that that the majority of political parties are silenced.

Said Naciri‘s floppy sit-comes scorned by Moroccan Tv audience.

Whenever Ramadan comes, sitcoms, sketches and tele-films invade Moroccan television. Moroccan public are unfortunately disgusted and fed up by these programmes which seem to be floppy and shallow ,and yet they are eternal to be imposed to the imagination of TV-goers especially during Ramadan. Some journalists confirm that those who spearhead publicity are the ones to blame because they impose their preferred artists, others suggest that there must be structural and serious change to the produced programmes scheduled especially at 2 M.

Waiting for Mogador by Taib Sadiki.

Waiting for Taib Sadiki to come back on stage seems to be like talking about the ghost of Godot himself to come again . Waiting for Godot is a powerful play written by Samuel Beckett, very known to theatre-goers. Theatre in Morocco is in pain not because Taib has become old crying through mainstream to build up his independent 3000 squared theatre called Mogador, situated in a handsome place in Casablanca, but because nowadays theatre in Morocco produces only mediocrity and rubbish ness.

During the sixties, there had been some attempts to create a serious theatre encouraged by enthusiastic and independent Moroccan government. .Mohammed Afifi played Hamlet and some Molière plays had been translated to Moroccan dialect .Names emerged in the mainstream like El Arabi Doughmi ;Touria Jebrane,Taib El Alej and mentioning of course Abdelkrim Berrechid ;Kenfaoui and Taib Sadiki ,unforgettable play writers. Now a contemporary theatre school exists in Rabat for the first time, unfortunately theatre remains marginalised and tabooed.

Some scholars try to pay homage to Taib Sadiki referring only to fulfil his dream which is to build up that independent theatre, Mogador .No doubt Taib’s voice is well heard through Moroccan civil society, but still our man can not complete his project. Sadiki has also influence in the Arab world, France and even Israel whose president was once invited to Taib Sadiki’s Casablanca home, but still Mogador remains unfulfilled, a damned artistic project overthrown in a cold place somewhere in Ghandi Street. Taib is aware of The Globe , a Shakespearean theatre built up recently in London .if you happen to visit Taib’s Mogador, you will see an open to sky arena,a Greek designed semi stage digged modestly by modest hands and surrounded by old wardrobes and shabby ateliers decorated of Said Sadiki portraits just to memorise a brother who was one a poet and a close cultural reference to Taib Sadiki.

What Hollywood depicts The Arabs on movies is a stupid cliché

SNRT pays Homage to Abdessalem Kachan

Arabic music is spread all over the world now .Thanks to Ray Music originally coming from Algeria and supported by a fervent military soldier ,a lieutenant who sympathizes with the cause of the damned and oppressed youth of North Africa.

Ever since music magnificently has existed in the world, Mediterranean people are really fascinated with it either in their death ceremonies or during happy moments.Arabs, mainly Zeriab has played a good role to spread music in Europe, which was the old world in the past.

Morocco is a popular kingdom whose people loves music very well .Moroccan classical music is a bourgeoisie genre created by Andalusia Arabs called Andalusia music whereas El Malhoun is written by bohemian and sofi poets.

No Doubt, Morocco artists are influenced by these kinds of waves including international flavour of Mozart and Wagner. Among Moroccan Maestro whose craft is very well known in MOROCCO is Abdessalem Khachan, a respected national composer and very loved by former king of Morocco Hassan Second. He is a descend man known of his great knowledge of music and its terminology.SNRT pays homage to this Maestro by calling major music composers and national artists.

Azazil by Youssef Zeidan,a delicious novel for future cinema.

Youssef Zeidan is an Egyptian writer, whose faith is Islamic. But, he happens to write a great novel based on truthful events about Christianity and its orthodoxy. His novel called « Azazil » literary meaning the Devil, awarded internationally this year 2009, talks about an Egyptian priest who travels from his native land to Jerusalem and else where in order to meet other priests to talk about theology; Jesus and his birth as a man but not as a God .This work signed by Youssef Zeidan makes controversial debates in the church of the Orthodox in Egypt and also in Rome.

There are great movies based on novels that talk about the church still make hot controversy around the world namely “I love cinema”, “Davinci Code”; “Il Nome Della Rosa” and of course our interesting book “Azazil” which is a delicious book to devour, because Youssef Zeidan, within his highly poetic and beautiful style of writing, succeeds to seduce his reader not to put his book away.

Maalouma Ben Midah ; a sweet voice of Sahara.

There is a famous saying in Maghreb that says if you want to charm people of north-africa,you just bring them Maalouma Mint El Meydah in order to enchant them "Habibi Habeytou". In fact, this lady, having beautiful Saharian charm, can deeply move people to blissful moments.

Maalouma is a Mauritanian singer who becomes the first parliamentary lady releasing an album. She surely charms her fan with her sweet voice that has mysterious tone and intonation; the secret of this is her mixing up Ray music with Mauritanian folklore using all modern musical instruments.

Maalouma Mint El Meydah belongs to an African country called Mauritania which is is named after the ancient Berber kingdom of Mauretania. The capital and largest city is Nouakchott, located on the Atlantic coast.

Gran Torino, a stylish technique of film writing.

Gran Torino is another magical movie made by a great actor and filmmaker Clint Eatwood. Some critics say that this movie is about the new age of America, some say it is a cinema of Barrack of Obama; whereas others state it is a new genre of drama movies that is targeted to hit box office in the sates. I think this movie simply belongs to an intelligent cinema remarkably made by a master of filmmaking called Clint Eastwood.

It is true that we have missed to watch good films coming from the sates, although Gran Torino shifts to the genre of realistic films. The movie is a 2008 American drama film directed ,produced and starring by Clint Eastwood. Its story talks about a Korean veteran haunted by memories of the war conflict. “A racist Korean War veteran living in a crime-ridden Detroit neighbourhood is forced to confront his own lingering prejudice when a troubled Hmong teen from his neighbourhood attempts to steal his prized Gran Torino.”

The leading role chosen by Clint Eastwood is Walt Kowalski who has a beautiful car called Gran Torino planned unfortunately to be stolen by Hmong neighbors and precisely by a shy Thao Vang Lor (Bee Vang). His feisty sister Sue (Ahney Her) succeeds to be a friend of Mr. Kowalski who in turn becomes nearly a member of Hmong .Lately in the movie, he heroically dies for them.

What strikes me most is the final scene when Mr. Kowalski prepares himself to revenge his neighbors. Technically speaking, Nick Schenk, the screenplay is intelligent to make us thought that Mr. Kowalski is going to revenge his neighbors by using all reversed techniques like for example asking his intimate barber to borrow him his razor and the locking up young thomg into Walt ‘s house to prevent him to do any tragic mistakes .All reveals a brilliant style o film writing. We have the impression that the protagonist is going to shed blood through an unpitiful armada ,but in fact, by our surprise and deceit Mr. Kowalski is killed and therefore this latter was preparing to die may be to get rid of horrible images of his past and also for his principles to die as a man.

"Remoune Treaty", the Reunion of Al Maghreb Al Kabeer in Oujda.

< We call it “Remoun Treaty» because it is symbolic and ideal may be to unite all Maghreb countries into one .Why Remoun? In fact, Ahmed Remoun is an artist of the ninetieth century who has lived in Oujda; a northern east town of Morocco whose borders are with Algeria. His grand -son, Abdelkader Remoun called proudly by Algerian intellectuals, Romaman, is still fighting in Italy for a better life that people of Maghreb Al kabeer should have and enjoy like all other countries. Primer things urgently scheduled to the people are democracy, justice and of course no more coercive governance.

a href="http://www.elwatan.com/Histoire-de-la-revolution">

In 1896, Mhammed Remoune wrote a classic song, genre El Malhoun mingled with beautiful “Kwafi” verses called Kanouna.Already aired on SNRT ex-RTM in 1983,this song was praised by Moroccan and Algerian tv spectators. Some intellectuals just like our honorable fatima Mernissi asked media to redifuse this song in which Ahmed Remoun described magnificently the beauty of women .Eventually this song is about a man whose sacred heart falls in love with a woman who walks graciously in an Andalusia garden found may be in Oujda.

Oujda was once thought to be the capital of Al Maghreb Al Kabeer by Moroccan and Algerian nationalists. Indeed this city has not stopped to deliver resistants, intellectuals and nationalists for both countries Morocco and Algeria. In fact,North-African people has not forgot the distinguished nationalists called Group of Oujda, born in Morocco naming for example Abdelhafid Boussouf, Houari Boumediène, Bouteflika and Ben Bella and more. They have not also forgot Abdelkerim Al Khattabi, the symbolic leader of resistance and “Al Haraka Al Watania” the national movement of Morocco spearhead by Allal El Fassi and Mehdi Ben Barka whose one of its dream is to see Al Maghreb AL Kabeer strong and united.

« Basta » with killing Mehdi Ben Barka.

Basta is an Italian word meaning literally enough. Yes, i have chosen this word in purpose to title my article, because this word was almost the last word uttered by this assassinated figure and also I feel deeply angry about the neo-killings of our charismatic leader ,Mehdi Ben Barka.Indeed I have written “Our” because simply this man belongs to people and exactly to Moroccan memory . He is so loved by simple people in Morocco that some macbethian politicos still want to ‘commit crimes’ against Mehdi for the benefit of ‘some elections’ that can not even refer to Ben Barka’s unfound “tomb” let alone serve this people.

Now that so many people know the truth, the fact that Mehdi Ben Barka remains ‘Monsieur Le President’ as he was called either by Fidel Castro, Mao tsi tong, de Gaulle or even by some Palestinian friends, other political figures in Morocco dare to profane Ben Barks’s tomb using all ugly words that exist in the Moroccan politics, hoping to get rid of this name which ironically becomes eternal in the breast of every Moroccan . So, please enough with buying and selling cheap political thoughts and enough with killing people whose epitaphs can not even be found.

Mehdi Ben Barka is a popular figure in the Moroccan politics and mysteriously becomes more popular in his death. Mehdi used to belong to a political party called ‘Hizb Al Istiklal’ which has become USFP; recently made concessions with former king of Morocco, Hassan the second, to govern Morocco (see alternance). Unfortunately this party has sent its people to interior exile .I believe it has killed this man twice by nailing into Moroccan politics Machiavelian phraseology called constipated mentality. Because Moroccan press has taken the place of nearly all political parties, I will not be surprised that these same parties might do again some ‘dirty works’ to gain “Popularity” which has disappeared from the dictionary of its “fighting”.
We will not be surprised again if Mehdi Ben Barka will be killed by Mossad, CIA or other secret services whereas his family and his Moroccan people can not even trace his epitaph just to read peaceful words upon his soul .

The powerful image through Al Jazeera Channel.

A nation without memory is nothing. This is a heavy conscious thought that the people of Morocco and its government are always discussing it seriously .It is true that local journalists are in some extent feel free to use their pen to tackle touchy subjects that in older times namely during years of plumb these same journalists would think twice to write, however freedom of speech still remains an unaccomplished job that many are asking to fulfill its complete mechanism into a dynamic, awaking yet fragile country called Morocco.

Al Jazeera Channel has done it again .I mean another scoop. It is about a program called “Shahidun Ala Asser” animated by Ahmed Mansur that presents a political prisoner; Ahmed El Marzouki who has revealed to Al Jazeera viewers every detail with brilliant precision and description of hellish times that he has endured in Tazmamart; a secret prison in south-eastern Morocco at the Atlas Mountains. The program becomes very popular not only in Morocco but also in the Arab world, because it introduces people that are considered persona non grata, exilers and sometimes political opponents usually rejected by their regimes.

Ahmed El Marzouki, a special guest to “Shahidun Ala Asser”, has made controvecy in his country because he dares to tell the truth which is a will considered by his Tazmamart mates, an act of courage and honor. People of Morocco are deeply shocked by El Marzouki’s announcements and this makes civil society organize seminars, movies and debates to find a lost memory of a nation which is still looking for itself within tradition and modernism.

Sufism within music in Fes.

Dikher through the heart is the most exquisite and secretive way to communicate with Allah, dikher has eleven rules:

1- State of pure ritual obtained by ablution “ablution erases sin”
2- Fluffiness of praying of the two raka àt.
3- Orient oneself towards Qibla by positioning your body in a solitary place.
4- Pressing your position to the opposite one that you usually do for praying.
5- Asking Allah for forgiveness “ Astirghfirullaàh”
6- Reciting “Fatiha” one time, and Sourate Al –iklas three times.
7- Close your eyes, press your lips and tie up your tongue as if you eat it with true calmness. This act helps you to chase strange thoughts that come through your vision.
8- A spiritual act called “ Epitaph attachment “ ràbi-tatu-l-qabr- means the consideration of death : you see yourself dead, washed ,wrapped into shroud; once the death ceremony is about to finish, you see yourself taken upon a tomb ,your family and your friends are gone leaving you all alone ,then nothing can be in your side apart from your good deeds.
9- To link yourself into a spiritual direction “rà-bitatu –l – murshid” .In this act, the disciple directs his heart towards his master’s heart, and keeps his image into his consciousness, even though his master‘s absence.
10- Concentration of all body senses by orienting all your powerful perceptions to Allah
stating “you are my goal and your satisfaction is only what I ask”.
11-Waiting for the “eventual” effect called –ghaiba- “ecstatic fainting”.
