LAST ADVICE BEFORE SHOOTING

Use the Rule of Thirds.
When composing your shot in the viewfinder or LCD, use the Rule of Thirds for more interesting shots. If you mentally divide the viewfinder into two imaginary rows and two imaginary vertical columns, the Rule of Thirds says to position your subject anywhere but in the centre "box" of the viewing area. But you can centre your subject if you want it to be centred.

Tone Down the Zoom. One mistake beginners make is zooming in and out a lot. It's dizzying for the viewer. The best time to zoom is when have a very good reason to zoom, Too much zooming is distracting; the "zooming" becomes part of the movie, like watching a rollercoaster. And gives the impression that you do not know what you are doing.

Stay In Focus. Keep in focus when you shoot . To do so, zoom all the way in on the most distant object in your scene and focus your lense on that object. Now all the things in the scene between the most distant and the closest will be in focus, but notice that dose not apply when you use the lense in Tele position.

Use Slow and Steady Motion. Move the camcorder carefully and slowly. Avoid "firehosing." That's the term for what most of us do (until we learn better) where we quickly jerk the camera around trying to capture the action over there -- no over there -- now over there -- where someone is talking or laughing or where the ball is and so on. It makes for a very hard to watch movie. Smooth, slow panning is always best.

Start Shooting Early. Start shooting before the shot really begins, and continue after the scene ends. This will allow a bit extra footage to make sure you got everything on film and didn't accidently clip something out. Also, some camcorders don't start to record the second you hit the record button, so you need to allow a second or two extra.

Shoot Low angle for Kids. Lower the camera angle when shooting kids Crouch down and film at the same on their level when videotaping children rather than aiming the camcorder down at them.

Don't talk! Some folks forget that they are within inches of the microphone and will end up with footage of their voice in the background and your booming voice saying "smile! smile! come on,

Use a Tripod. If you tend to move the camera a lot, either by too much jerky motion or just by jiggling it a bit in your hands, consider the use of the tripod. These days, a good tripod is not only strong and lightweight, but they do make your work looks better.

Black Pearl of Morocco,Larabi Ben Barek by Driss el Mrini

The director Idriss El Marini monitors cinematically the path of a football legend of Morocco and the Arab world late Haj Larabi Benbarek, which featured much of the tender, suffering and selflessness.

Driss as a director tries to reveal a journey of a Black Pearl (1917 / 1992), from the thirties to the fifties of the last century, the stage where Larabi Benbarek wrote his name in golden letters in the history of world football.

He was behind the completion of this work, the director says Marini, fascinated by his character, "Black Pearl" and the moral and determination, strong determination of Sisyphus to succeed, hewed patiently international fame and became of the finest football players and biggest names that have taken root in the collective memory. The objective behind this work, completed much of love and nostalgia, says El Marini told MAP on the sidelines of the paragraphs of the National Festival for the film in Tangiers , "Fighting forgetfulness, apathy and consolidate a culture of recognition of the Moroccan genius."

Experimental movies close to the absurd

Foto by Essafi al Khammaer

'I never went for the world of surreal and satirical Theatre , and when I turned to the cinema that has retained this method, which aims to break the traditional image that was born and grew up in the Moroccan Theatre .

In my films I tried to keep my theatrical style, any access to the public through the
ironic and surrea atmosphere l so do not fall into the direct, which I think that the spectator knew years ago, a method of exercise, such as football, with oversight by the understanding of the attitudes in the movies direct traditional, and this does not mean I escape from reality '.

Experimental film close to the absurd

The Nabil Lahlou approach to the cinema from the world of theater, is an author and actor and director, the way an artist approaching the absurd, many of the experiences of the play, including 'Ophelia is not dead', a play, which will employ the Moroccan Film some scenes in his film masterpiece, 'Ibrahim Yash' which was produced in 1983.

Film 'Ibrahim Yash' class once he was out to the hall Moroccan movie that belongs to the so-called by some film critics cinema Alvantstic or 'fantasy', means 'Yash' a word belonging to the Moroccan dialect cough, if what has been translated into classical Arabic, it means Why?
Adopted director Nabil Lahlou, in his film 'Ibrahim Yash' in terms of the language of dialogue in classical Arabic which is spoken by all the heroes of the film, and so chose Nabil Lahlou title 'locally' for the film succeeds in that makes heroes who speak Arabic is correct and understandable, weave Nabil Lahlou to dramatically smooth .

'Alqnfodi' ... Was the first rain, and followed by other films

Nabil Lahlou was born in 1945 in Fez, and studied
dramatic art at school 'Charles Dolan' Peoples Theatre at the University of France, in the early years of the seventies will examine Nabil Lahlou the stage for material requested in Algeria, and also collaborated with the Algerian National Theatre. After his return to Morocco , Nabil Lahlou continues to write and direct his plays in French and Arabic, and also he will go to the cinema, and cinema is characterized by Nabil Lahlou being private cinema, so that was adopted in the production of most of his films on the self-potential and abilities.

Nabil Lahlou, produced and directed Sinmah texts himself and played the main role in most of them.

Out through his cinema career rogue seven films, the latest film 'Tabeth or non-
Tabeth ' is about a case for a general view of a corrupted policeman in Morocco . Other productiuons are ' the Governor-General 'in 1980, and the' Ibrahim Yash 'in 1984, and the' braying Spirit 'in 1984, and' Kumani 'in 1989, and was the first of his films, which is signed by the film' Alqonfode 'in 1978, and in 1992 directed the film' night of the murder ', and in 2002 will come out of the film' years of exile '.

In his shocking
'Tabeth or non-Tabeth ' I think, dealt with theater director Nabil Lahlou issue of public opinion, and in a manner Fantasy reference n an experimental method based on alienation.

He restores the film
'Tabeth or non-Tabeth ' scandal, the intelligence officer, Brigadier General Mustafa Thabet, dating back to the early nineties, an issue that the security official involved in the crimes of sexual assault, and hired feisty Nabil Lahlou pretext for the prosecution of a successful society, theater and film narrative.

Director Nabil Lahlou returned a controversial figure to life in the '
'Tabeth or non-Tabeth ' ' that first display, display on the screen of the Mohammed V Theatre in Rabat, amid protests by the widow of Brigadier General, which had earlier threatened to sue the director before Moroccan courts if was bad or well for the story of her husband.

Nabil Lahlou diagnostic of Moroccan cinema

Nabil Lahlou sticks for volunteers, who refuses to get carried away or fall into the arms of the choir directors Wave film current benefit today of public money through a fund to support film production in Morocco to make films and the size of 'to have the case', is the same Nabil Lahlou, which often upset and angered his colleagues in the craft of cinema, directors, producers and representatives of the filmmakers, Boukrjath seismic information and statements press firearms, often repeating this feisty director his most famous 'today Khei not Keder cinema'.

Said Azar brings mysterious wind to cinema" Samt Rih"

Said Azar enters the world of cinema. Written by Abdellah Damoun, he himself has tweaked the script for his first work produced by the SNRT (RTM) and whose budget is in the order of 900,000 dirhams ¹.

Embodied by a host of talented actors ¹ "Samt arrih" tells the story of a small village where people are immortal.

This is science fiction, pure and simple. It is full inside. Time stops in a village. The inhabitants are all reduced to immortality. By the happiest of coincidences, a daughter (Sanaa Akroud) arrives. Once the origin of this curse discovered and the secret hole, it will only frustrate the. "It's a universal story that is nowhere," says the director. He added: "The idea is original. She questioned me a lot. And to embellish even more, I reworked the script and I removed all the real elements namely time and space to put the spotlight on human value of this fiction. "

Alongside the actress Sanaâ Akroud whose profile matches perfectly with the role and whose talent is undeniable, there will Hicham Bahloul, Raouia, Mohamed Mehdi Wazzani, Lmesnaoui Abdou, Mohamed El Yazidi, Khouloud and others.

The shooting took place ¹ s in the northern mountains, between Tetouan and Fnideq, in a village called "Wad lil '. This choice is not fortuitous n ¹, says the director. According to him, "this village has all the ingredients necessary to make this movie. Especially because during filming, there was very windy and it was necessary to make the unreal life and give this village a legendary vision in accordance with the idea of the film. There is also a beautiful and unique landscape. All of which have amplified the magical effect of making of this film. "

Although this | representative works his first film, Said Azar, is not his first attempt. He has already recorded some work with SICTOM "Sir Hta tji.

He moreover directed several television shows including "Al mafatih Assab" on TVM, the famous program "The Traveler" and "al-Hada massa'e" among others.

Said studied film. The film world is not it, therefore, not abroad.

One of the founders of the video clip in Morocco has forged his experience directing music videos namely "Houriya", "Lan ansa" Youness Megri, video clip of the song "Gadan" Soumia Abdelaziz. The film "The Silence of the Wind" is that ¹ culmination of his film career. For him, "was a dream that I am stubborn to realize. There are twenty years I wanted to do. Initially, it was not possible. Now I managed to make it happen. "

This determination does not prevent ¹ s to be aware that the path is riddled with pitfalls ¹. "I think my place is in the cinema. The road will it be easy or not? I don ¹ t know. This will be defined by several elements. Must await the public reaction and others to judge, "he says wisel

Snrt schedules a debate of televized drama in January

The director with his script and imagination and the actor with his tone ; intonation ,the technician with his tools ready to reveal magical meanings to viewers fitting the word to the action and the action to the word as Shakespeare adivises his players in Hamlet “suit the action to the word, the word to the action;”

Of course the nature of Moroccan drama is different than the one in England .This is about Moroccan drama in television in Morocco, Drama in television has known some interesting shifts from worse to the best knowing for example Snrt produces 10 short films and about 6 or 8 long featured films per year .That is quite interesting and amazing ."Cahiers des charges" (see also Haca) is online to listen and to produce present and future productions in good quality and quantity. However, if one talks about Moroccan drama, one refers immediately to Ramadan productions which is something funny and controversial .Therefore; this matter can be debated within halls of productios with sincere thoughts and fdelity.Moroccan televised drama should be in progress and present anytime of the year not specifically in Ramadan.

From this context, Snrt along with Mohammed 5 theatre are organising a night of drama works belonging to young directors ; Al Oula .The night will be crowned with an intellectual debate about drama in television and its progress .This debate will be discussed by SNRT directors, journalists and film critics already animated by Idrissi Drissi whose short film will also be on program. The short films of the night in theatre are as follows:

Children of the Sun by Allal El Alaoui

Hata Saoute inda Assoura by Raouf Essabahi

Azef Al Piano by Nazha Karkouri

After Babel, Mustapha Rashidi is a documentary film maker.

Synopsis of Babel

The tragic aftermath of human carelessness travels around the world in this multi-narrative drama from filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. Richard (Brad Pitt) and Susan (Cate Blanchett) are a couple from the United States who have traveled to Morocco in Northern Africa on a vacation after the death of one of their children has sent Susan into a deep depression. Richard and Susan's other two children have been left in the care of Amelia (Adriana Barraza), their housekeeper. Amelia is originally from Mexico, and her oldest son is getting married in Tijuana. Unable to find someone who can watch the kids, or to obtain permission to take the day off, Amelia takes the children with her as she travels across the border for the celebration.

Around the same time, in Morocco a poor farmer ( Mustapha Rashidi ) buys a hunting rifle, and he gives it to his sons to scare off the predatory animals that have been thinning out their goat herd. The boys decide to test the weapon's range by shooting at a bus far away; the shot hits Susan in the shoulder, and soon she's bleeding severely, while police are convinced the attack is the work of terrorists. In Japan, Chieko (Rinko Kikuchi) is a teenage deaf-mute whose mother recently committed suicide. This despairing, confused girl experiences such rage and frustration that she causes her volleyball team to lose a match, and later yanks her underwear off and begins exposing herself to boys in a crowded restaurant. Chieko's father then struggles to reach past the emotional distance which separates him and his daughter. Babel earned Alejandro González Iñárritu the prize for Best Director at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

Hicham El Ouali’s visions on Moroccan cinema.

Hisham is fond of theatre bu the sees in Morocco somme brilliant beam of true continuity. He has a part in Allal El Alaoui’s Oualed Achams which he deeply appreciates his style of work.

"I'm optimistic, I believe deeply that Moroccan cinema will grow and he will see more success in the years to come. The industry keeps moving despite its glitches. It is currently 15 productions a year, which is good for us. "Hassan told us enthusiastically. Moroccan cinema and could not manage to stand out without the players who show great talent. They are among the veterans of the scene or young talents, some of our actors bring with them the great responsibility which is to provide a boost to the film and help develop this sector. Hisham tells us about the relationship between the new and the old generation "The major players are the basis for us. They are the ones who fought to establish the first "laws" of this area. When we started, everything was already prepared with them. They had to fight to achieve what they have. We try to keep in touch with them and learn as much from them.

Hicham is on all fronts and is actively working. Tell us about your new products? There are plenty indeed. For movies, I am currently preparing a feature film with Mohamed Kaghat (to whom we owe the fantasy series "The other dimension"). I also play in the téléfillm "Beach Boys" of Reggab Younis and in "Riad al-Maati" Driss Drissi. Side of the theater, we go on the tour of the play "Dar Al Ghalia" of Abdessamad Dinia. In addition, I soon began filming a new series signed Hassan El Joundi.

You're now in cinema, theatre and television (films and animations) ... What is the artistic genre you love most?

I love them all with the same degree because I do it with love and passion. In fact, I am involved body, heart and soul into everything I do: film, television, theater or even animation. But if I must make a choice when two jobs available to me, I prefer the theatre. Is not the father of the arts? I love the theatre and I think it is essential for an actor. I always renew the link with the boards, direct contact with the public and the emotions that it brings are unique to theatre. This said, cinema and television magic us into people's homes, it becomes another family member.

In addition to the small and big screens and theatre, Hicham El Ouali is a regular radio novels or radio series. Tell us about that experience?

In fact, I'm addicted to the radio series, I try to do regularly. Let's say that on average two a year I'm in my schedule. This kind, even if it seems outdated, has its audience. I meet people who listen to me and even follow me into the radio, especially my family and my neighbors. It's surprising that people recognize the voice without a face, it's another way of playing and it's especially rewarding experience as the casting is often a mix between the older generation, young and new players confirmed talents as students ISADAC.

I hope the young audience will focus. Is it easy for you to impose your style while knowing that you are the brother of a certain Rachid El Ouali?

Let me tell you it is not easy at first to trace its path in this field. It takes hard work, patience and perseverance to make his name and win the trust and respect of the public. Since I started, you can not stop comparing myself with Rashid. But what people are struggling to understand is that we are very different from one another. Personally, I try to see through the choice of roles, I often played the villain, the villain of the story, I played a "rapist", a drug dealer ... while Rachid embodies the kind of roles , good ... each of us has his style, his charisma.

What is the role that you dream of playing?

There is not one but many. Of all the characters I played, I preferred the one in "Abderrahman Belmajdoub. I like historical films. And if I ever get the chance to portray a historical figure, I will like it either Abdelkrim Khattabi.

why not ... You are at the origin of the short film festival in Rabat. Tell us about this festival?

It is a festival held at the Institute of Applied Engineering in Rabat, he is already in its seventh edition. This event is a new way to bring the public closer to the movies, especially the genre of short film which is not widely promoted among the wider public. During one week, the public is led to see short films, meet filmmakers and actors and pay tribute to a great artist. What characterizes this festival is that students and young people involved in everything from site preparation, scheduling, logistics, entertainment .. It is good that young people are introduced to the management of cultural thing.

« LES ENJEUX DE LA DIVERSITE CULTURELLE »
VENDREDI 26 NOVEMBRE à 18 heures

PRESENTATION
