Asilah Cultural Festival kicks off on Sunday
Asilah, Aug. 3 - The 30th International Cultural Festival of the seaside town of Asilah, north-west Morocco, kicked off on Sunday.

The opening ceremony was marked by a royal speech to the participants of a symposium on the alliance of civilizations, held by the Al Mu'tamid Ibn Abbad Summer University of 2008, as part of the Assilah International Cultural Festival.

Organized by the Assilah Forum, under the aegis of King Mohammed VI, the festival features a rich program including concerts of music, seminars, and several conferences tackling various themes dealing with issues on the reform of the UN, prospects for South-South cooperation, and democracy in the Arab world. This event will be held until August 31.
