"Road-theatre" or travelling theatre by Mohamed El Hassouni

"Road-theatre" or travelling  theatre remains a marvellous experience in theatre going especially among  slum dwellers on the outskirts of the Moroccan cities .This moment of theatre entertainment leaves   joy and delight  on simple people and helps them to forget suffering of their social status, even for a while. "Road-theatre" is a technical experience with a deep social dimension founded by Mohamed El Hassouni and his wife.

Audience of different  ages, of both sexes behind metal barriers in the form of ring .. Children sitting cross-legged at  the forefront of human-ring belt .. The demise of a day, the sun slanted in the direction of sunset hit gradually and  directly into the faces of the actors all involved to the "playing field" . Dance and acrobatics, circus games and music, and breathed into the fire .. "theatrical" and soak dust  scenes and boards in multiple colors in the flow takes the eye and the senses, representatives carrying masks, dressed in strange clothes and accessories from the minds of viewers ,reminds us of The Italian Commedia Del Arte.( see Kenza fridou and Abdelkader Mikiyate ).

 The puppets in different  roles  diagnosed names, people in daily life, get into the trap of  laughter and sympathy and interaction in the ring: corrupt cops and personal sanitation worker are performed by professional actors and actresses sartistically, the girl who immigrates, maid houses raped by house lords  and  university students who can not afford to live on.. In the final scene stands Boxing Circuit ,columns and strings, in a duel between a woman and a man .. Fierce confrontations.. in the last round women can triumph over the man in which girls get delighted , but the spirit of sport is also prevailed and gives great dimension of ‘la dolce vita’ .

Now number of partners and supporters to experience the "Road-theatre " is increasing continuously, some of them secure a "message" After a while, while others embraced directly in the cradle of birth, including " Goethe-Institute from Germany " in Rabat, which provides financial support for the band, a key partner in the experiment, before other on-line partners and supporters, including the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of the Interior, getting the project more likable via its, "Human Development Project". At  the same time other experiences of ‘Road- movie’ continue to grow in big cities like  Casablanca, Tangiers, and Ouarzazate ...

13 Festival International Martil on the spot

The International Film Festival of Martil (Moroccan Film Festival and Latin American) will be held from 2 to June 8, 2013 in Tetuan

It is a cultural and cinematic event whose objectives are:

To promote awareness and dissemination of cinema from Morocco and Latin American countries.

Encourage and promote exchanges between Moroccan and Latin American filmmakers.

Provide an opportunity for the public to know the recent Moroccan film productions Spanish and Portuguese.

Provide an opportunity for Moroccan documentary short film and to participate in international festivals

One of most remarquable event that took place is the intellectual debate that was run by Mohamed Aidouni whose subject was as follows :

There were interesting questions that have been raised by students,filmmakers and journalits directed to honorable intellectuals from France ;Spain,Lebennan ,Tunis and Morocco .By the way, the will by Allal El Alaoui  will be projected on RIF cinema today thursday 16h GMT timing.

MOROCCAN ASSOCIATION OF WORKERS IN ITALY ALMI in short, is a young, created by a group of Moroccan workers living in Bologna, and is a good model of Moroccan associations in Italy. By reason of this peculiarity and the fact that, unlike other, is an association concretely active, in spite of the lack of available funds.

Opera in volunteering as an expression of participation, solidarity and pluralism, mainly in favor of third parties for the exclusive pursuit of its goals of social solidarity, civic and cultural, non-profit organization.

Aims and objectives of the Association:

facilitate, in volunteer activities, the actual insertion and integration into the social fabric of immigrants in Italian society, especially of Moroccan origin, both from a social point of view, cultural work, in full respect of their needs, their rights, their cultural identities;
encourage broad multi-ethnic integration, promoting a culture of peace, solidarity and the environment antiracism for a new quality of urban life and carry out educational and entertainment in favor of Italian and foreign children;
promote, through its initiatives, coexistence and tolerance among citizens and exclude all forms of discrimination and intolerance.
measures to protect their social rights, health, education and training, work and any other cultural and political rights;
promotion of social integration processes and active citizenship, aimed also at encouraging the integration between the Italian and Moroccan families residing in the territory;
promote and implement international solidarity and development cooperation in favor of poor countries;
organize social interventions, cultural, recreational and sports initiatives aimed at the prevention of discomfort including through studies and scientific research;
conduct any other activity required to achieve the statutory purposes.

Adil Lasry’s cultural cinematic project abondoned by Morrocan diplomats in Bologna and Rome ( Italy )

 Adil lasry is a smart Moroccan guy, eager to show Moroccan culture via cinematic works in Bologna. He is now facing mechanical refusals by conspiratory mentality from the ministry of Al jaliya Maghrebia and also from diplomats who are uninterested to meet Adil and as mater of fact   ignore   Adil’s dream; that is to show to the Italians the true events of Moroccan artistry via movies.

Adil is spearheading an association in Bologna called AlMI and he intends to open the first Moroccan film Festival in Bologna this week the 24 th and 25^th of may 2013.he has been around Italy facing rejects and refusal of Moroccan institutions there namely from Driss Rochdi the genral consulate of Bologna and Hassan Ayoub the ambassador of Kingdon of Morocco in Rome.

Fortunately Mr lasry  has only  succeeded to get moral and logistical support from SNRT and CCM which have recently signed with Adil Lasry conventions as to work for cultural and cinematic exchanges between Rabat and Bologna.By the way, The University of Bologna, known of its ancient teachings and knowledge, has taken the ball of fire from Adil just to realize Adil’s dream: that’s simply to present new looks of Moroccan thinking through television and cinema .
