Koi… Mil Gaya is the story about Rohit Mehra (Hrithik Roshan) who shows the world that friendship is truly universal.

Sanjay Mehra (Rakesh Roshan) is a scientist obsessed with establishing contacts with extraterrestrial life. He invents many innovative gadgets, instruments and finally succeeds in devising a computer that can transmit message to space.

His foresight becomes reality when as a response to his signals, a spaceship is sighted in the sky. But before Sanjay can even enjoy his success, he and his wife Sonia (Rekha) meet with a horrific accident where Sonia survives but Sanjay loses his life.

Sanjay's son Rohit is born into this world; a mentally challenged child who faces ridicule and torment at every phase of his life. His lone companion is Nisha (Preity Zinta) whose compassion draws her towards Rohit.

One day Rohit discovered his father's old computer and calls Nisha to help him use it. Both of them are completely fascinated by the images and instructions that appear on the screen and relentlessly experiment with the device; not realizing the impact this would have.

The whole town witnesses a blackout and a bizarre phenomenon… in an incandescent glowing sky… a colossal spaceship is sighted.

However more strange findings are in store for Rohit's town – A pair of footprints not belonging to man or animal are found.

What could this mean?
Who will Rohit and Nisha find?
Is danger lurking somewhere close?
A nation holds its breath.

Bouzghiba: Où en êtes-vous avec la monographie sur le cinéma indien ?
Razak: Ca avance. Le trophée annuel de l’humour m’a occupé momentanément. Sa médiatisation a été une des plus contraignantes. Un grand merci à tous les bénévoles qui s'y sont dépensés généreusement.
Bouzghiba: Ne baissez pas les bras. Les jaloux feront tout pour que vos projets avortent.
Razak: Ne vous en faites pas. Mais je vois que vous n’êtes pas un internaute assidu .Certes vous êtes bon blagueur mais pas bon bloggueur. Allal prend le relais. Il est toujours en « bolly-activité » . Les études du mouvement Swadeshi où il est plongé à bras le corps vont lui ôter les derniers cheveux.
Bouzghiba: J’ai entendu parler qu’il a proposé à SNRT une émission sur le cinéma, de quoi s’agit-il ?
Razak: Allal est un bosseur, mais certains ne veulent pas qu’il bosse trop .CINEPHILIA, l’émission qu’il a proposée à SNRT et qui apparemment a reçu l’aval de ses chefs hiérarchiques présente un aspect positif. Un film suivi de débat. Des films intéressants comme Sholay de Ramesh Sippy et Sacrifice de Tarkovski qui font partie de la programmation proposée méritent d’être vus et débattus. Cela nous ferait oublier les films de série B qu'on montre à profusion. Ernest Hemingway a évoqué métaphoriquement le fighting entre un être humain fragile et un monstre de la mer, le calvaire d’Allal s’y trouve personnifié existentiellement.
Bouzghiba: Vous avez dit dans votre blog qu’au 6eme FIFM il était au four et au moulin . Il était très sollicité pous ses compétences linguistiques , mais il n’avait qu’une demi-accréditation à ce que je sache ?
Razak :Je ne comprend plus .Voila un type qui a des dons à faire valoir notamment dans de telles manifestations , mais qui souffre d’incompréhension . Lors du 5eme FIFM, j’en ai parlé à son parton qui s’était montré très compréhensif, mais il semble que la compétence n’est pas le critère de base. Il suffit de voir son blog (allal-cinemagoer.blogspot.com) pour s'en convaincre.
Bouzghiba: Croyez vous que CINEPHILIA a été jetée définitivement aux calendes grecques ?
Razak: Non je ne pense pas. Avec le holding audiovisuel public rien n’est complètement définitif. La preuve c’est que Vol de Nuit l’émission radiophonique que l’on croyait morte est de retour après un arrêt qui a duré plusieurs années. Bon retour à Vol de Nuit. On espère que son animateur sera égal à lui-même. Des années d'oubli ça use.
Bouzghiba: Parlez-nous de Lalla Yamna Bombay ?
Razak: Il s’agit d’une vieille femme de Salé, une bollyphile d’un genre spécial. Une comédienne marocaine nous en a parlé. Cette femme parle hindi sans avoir suivi des cours accéléré d’alphabétisation, ni lu de livres d’initiation genre "Comment apprendre le hindi en 7 jours". Elle vit l’histoire du film avec tous ses sens et quand le héros meurt, ce qui est très rare dans les films indiens, elle se met à pleurer comme si elle venait de perdre un des siens.
Bouzghiba : Et la fillette prodige Iman Jembary qui créa à sa manière l’événement au 6eme FIFM ?
Razak: C’est une adolescente qui aime Kajol à en mourir. Lors de l’hommage que les initiateurs du festival ont consacré au couple de Bollywood Kajol-Devgan , Iman fit son entrée dans la salle sous un tonnerre d’applaudissements. Malheureusement, son idole favorite n’était pas là. Ayant appris que nous préparons un livre sur le cinéma indien au Maroc, son père Ahmed Jembari qui est photographe reporter au bureau régional du journal Le Matin, nous a rejoint. Il nous a dit un tas de choses au sujet de sa fillette. Iman a une scolarité très brillante. Elle anime un blog où elle publie tout ce qui lui tient à cœur. Vu qu’elle a une prédisposition artistique pour la mise scène, on va envoyer à son père un document didactique sur les techniques de scénario pour l’aider à faire une auto-initiation. On ne sait jamais, peut-être serait elle un jour la scénariste attitrée que nous attendons depuis des décennies.
Bouzghiba: A propos de scénario, on m’a dit que vous en avez écrit un spécialement pour moi, de quoi s’agit-il ?
Razak: Le synopsis a fait rire aux larmes plusieurs réalisateurs que j’ai rencontrés au festival de Marrakech. Je ne vous en dirais rien de plus.
Bouzghiba: Pourquoi?
Razak: Question de droits d’auteur. Les Arsène Lupin du 7eme art et 8eme art ne chôment pas.
Bouzghiba: Ce sera un sosie de Mister Bean ou de Woody Allen ?
Razak: Non ce sera du Bouzghiba .
Bouzghiba: Je meure d’envie de me voir enfin sur le grand écran, j’en ai marre du papier et des tubes de peinture.
Razak: Ne soyez pas si pressé. Le temps fait mûrir les choses. En attendant, astiquez vos mèches .Vous aurez besoin de leur brillantine.
