On Tuesday, May 30, 2019, the Executive Bureau of the National Chamber of Film Producers (CNPF) held a working session with Mr. Sarim Fassi Fihri, the director of the CCM, in the presence of Mr. Khalid Saidi, the Secretary General of the Center, Mrs. Khadija Feddi, Head of the Department of Production and Mr. Abdellatif Lassadi.
Mr. Latif Lahlou, President of the CNPF, opened the meeting with a condensed summary of the Memorandum that the Chamber has prepared and which presents a comprehensive and detailed presentation on the situation of the film sector in Morocco and the audiovisual sector in general, and which contains concrete proposals for its restructuring, which will enable it to follow the rapid evolution of the world's film and audiovisual production. The President presented to the Director a copy of this Memorandum, proposing the establishment of a joint commission to study the possibilities of concretizing the Memorandum's proposals, as well as the institutionalization of a participatory practice that could guarantee a management sector, in collaboration with all professionals, all bodies combined.
The Director appreciated this initiative and welcomed the proposal to resume participatory management, and promised a thorough study and a positive response to the content of the Memorandum and the proposals it contains.
