Synopsis

The story of the film "Kalash" revolves around three sub-stories that overlap and interact in each other to form the basic story.

1. The story of Belaid, a young threesome, simple living and appearance, selling roses and herbs, leaving his village after the rape of his lover at the time of the attack of a separatist military convoy.He joins the Moroccan army for revenge and fighting against the separatists. He is well trained and assigned to guard a border post.He suffers from loneliness and constant fear, which leads him to a spiral of hallucinations and nightmares. He leaves the border point to live an exciting adventure.

2. The story of Zahra, a young desert woman, beautiful, who is tempted by a member of her tribe, and disguises her after an illegal pregnancy. The tribe will order its crucifixion until it dies of starvation and thirst. Belaid is close to death. He starts a new life.

3. The story of the separatist leader "Laaour", named Ahmado al-Othmani. Leading a group of soldiers and lurking in the desert with looting .  He suffers from a psychological complex due to his relationship with his mother, and push him to hate  women and rape and murder them. He seeks to dominate Sahara. His adventure ends in death.

This three-story tale meets a great story, feeding on confrontation and conflict between Belaid and Laaour, around Zahra Belaid saves Zahra from death, protects it. He loves her. Where he finds his old dream and lost love. He recognizes its virtues. Love between them ends up in marriage. Zahra​​abducted by soldiers on the day of her marriage. Events go against the will of the Laaour.He dies and his army is captured.

Besides the basic tales, there are minor sub-stories, complementing the dramatic and psychological interactions of the basic story. (The story of Kalmona victim of the cages - the story of Umm al-Zain victim of the rape- the story of Aziz the fake ally - the story of tribal consciousness - the story of the conflict between the two tribes and ending to peace).

The tale behind the story of the conflict between the Moroccan army and the separatist army in the Moroccan Sahara, a humanitarian stand that exposes separatist violence, calls for love, peace and dialogue. The story finally triumphs over peace, love and life.
